I took the shot at sunset at Anglesea surf beach. The sun was setting behind us giving great light on the beach. I wanted to take shots of my 2 children standing together holding hands on the beach. My baby boy just started to stand independently while on our weekend away in Anglesea and I wanted to capture that. Of course I only managed to snap 3 shots before baby L decided he just had to sit down and play in the wet sand. My 4 year old daughter then had to run, dance, sing and fly around the sand. This to me became a perfect series of shots of them being themselves and having a great time.

I used a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion, and under exposed slightly to make sure I caught all the details in the sky. I edited the photo with a preset from my basic set, which enhanced colours, details and saturation, presets are available from my site lifescolourfulcanvas.com

Under exposing a shot is better then overexposing. Remember our Photo 101: Exposure.  If you overexpose a shot then you have lost the information or data in the image. If the shot is underexposed there is still a great chance of recovering that information in post processing. Make sure you check out those presets!
