Photo Fun: Cranes

This photo was taken at the Honolulu Zoo. I’m not sure exactly what kind of birds these are but I think they’re cranes and they’re really vivid and beautiful. Wonderful plumage and colors. Did some post-work to soften and make it more “romantic”.

That’s a beautiful shot! I don’t think I’ve seen that pair at the zoo. Now we have to go back and watch for them.

I was just at the zoo a week or so ago, I did see one of them but not the other. This photo is 2 years old or so, I’ll have to lug the long lens and head back one of these days!

Wow! You haven’t been there yet? You gotta go, it’s getting better and better… I don’t recall seeing a lion the last time we went but I’ll have to look harder next time, the tiger cubs were out and about tho, that was cool to see (not OUT out … but you know, out in the their pen) =)
